Install everywhere. Pay for concurrency.
A floating license behaves like a seat pool. Install Paquet Builder on as many machines as you like — when a user launches it, a seat checks out of the pool. When they close it, the seat returns. You only pay for the number of simultaneous users.

Floating, named, or both?
Floating licenses don’t replace named-user licenses — they solve a different problem. Here’s how to pick.
| Scenario | Ultimate Named · €179.95 | Floating Console · €449.95 | Floating GUI + Console · €779.95 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo dev, 1–2 machines | Best value | Overkill | Overkill |
| Small team, shared build room | Works — 1 seat each | GUI needs named seats | Recommended |
| CI/CD and headless agents | Manual activation per agent | Perfect fit | If you also need GUI |
| Enterprise with rotating devs | Hard to reassign | Builds only | Recommended |
Doing the math? Three named Ultimate seats cost €539.85 and cover exactly three named users. One floating GUI+Console seat at €779.95 covers unlimited installs with a single concurrent user — ideal when your team builds infrequently but needs Paquet Builder on many machines. For anything bigger, ask us for a quote.

Frequently asked
Before you email sales
The high-anxiety questions, answered up front.
How is concurrent usage enforced?
Paquet Builder checks out a seat from your license pool when it starts, and returns it when it exits. If all seats are in use, the next user sees a clear “all seats busy” message — no surprise lockouts mid-build. Enforcement is per seat, not per machine, so you can install on as many computers as you need.
What happens if a build machine dies or is reimaged?
Seats are not permanently bound to hardware. A dead or reimaged machine simply stops checking out its seat, and the seat returns to the pool automatically. If a machine crashes mid-build without releasing its seat, contact us for a manual reset — we respond within one business day.
Is the 12-month maintenance included?
Yes. Every floating license includes a 12-month maintenance period covering all minor and major upgrades, plus priority email support. Renewals are optional and discounted. You keep every version obtained during your maintenance period indefinitely.
Is it cheaper than buying multiple Ultimate seats?
It depends on your team size and how often each person builds. One Ultimate license at €179.95 covers one named user on up to two computers — great when everyone builds daily. A floating license at €779.95 (GUI + Console) starts paying off when you need Paquet Builder on many machines but only a handful of people build at once — typical for CI servers, shared build rooms, or rotating contractors. Contact us and we’ll run the math with you.
Can I upgrade from Professional or Ultimate to a floating license?
Yes. Existing Professional or Ultimate customers receive credit toward a floating license purchase. Contact us with your order reference and we’ll quote the upgrade price.
Can I pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes. Send us your company details and we’ll arrange an invoice-based order. Standard card and PayPal payments are also available through our resellers (FastSpring, Paddle). USD and GBP pricing is available on request.
